How to Change the DPI Settings in Sage 50?

Sage 50 Display setting

Please follow the below-mentioned steps-

Total Time: 25 minutes

For Windows Server 2008 and Vista

🔹 Right-click on desktop
🔹 Select Properties
🔹 Click on Adjust font size (DPI)
🔹 Now adjust the DPI setting to 96
🔹 Click OK to finish
🔹 Restart your computer

For Windows 7, 8 and Windows Server 2012

🔹 Right-click on desktop
🔹 Select Screen resolution
🔹 Now select the option Make text and other items larger or smaller
🔹 Next, set the DPI setting to Smaller – 100%
🔹 Click Apply
🔹 Click Log off now

Windows Server 2003 and XP

🔹 Right-click on Desktop
🔹 Select Properties
🔹 Click on the Settings tab
🔹 Now click on the Advanced option
🔹 Select the General tab
🔹 Next, adjust the DPI setting to 96 DPI (Normal Size)
🔹 Click OK to finish
🔹 Finally, restart the computer for the changes to take effect

How to Change the Screen Resolution in Sage 50?

Sage Resolution

For Windows 10

  • Right-click on Desktop
  • Select Display Settings
  • Click on Display
  • Now select Advanced Display settings
  • Click Advanced sizing of text and other items
  • Click on the Set a custom scaling level link from the paragraph titled Change size of items
  • Set the percentage to 100%
  • To take the changes effect, logout and then again login.

Windows Server 2008 and Vista

  • Right-click on Desktop
  • Select Personalize
  • Click on Display Settings
  • Now, adjust to your preferred resolution by moving the slider to right or left
  • Select OK
  • Click Yes if satisfied with the setting. Else click No and repeat the last 3 steps till you are satisfied.

Windows 7, 8 and Server 2012

  • Right-click on desktop
  • Select Screen resolution
  • Click on the Resolution arrow to adjust to your preferred resolution
  • Select OK
  • If satisfied click Yes. Else click No and repeat the last 2 steps till you satisfied.

Windows Server 2003 and XP

  • Right-click on Desktop
  • Select Properties
  • Click on the Settings tab
  • To adjust the resolution, move the slider
  • Click OK
  • Restart your computer.

The Font Size is Large or Small inside of the Program

Solution I: Change Display settings for Computer

Note: Sage has been designed, for best performance, in order to work with the DPI set to 100%. Any settings at higher can distort the program. In case the DPI is changed, the machine needs to be rebooted before the changes can take effect.

Solution II: Disable Display Scaling on High DPI Settings

  • Start by Right-clicking on the Sage icon
  • Now, select Properties
  • Next, Select the Compatibility tab
  • Now Click the Change settings for all users button
  • Select Disable to display scaling on high DPI settings box
  • Click Apply,
  • Click OK
  • Finally, Verify that the screen does not shrink upon opening

Note: Close Sage, right-click the desktop, choose Display, and then Advanced display settings if the font is too small even after adjusting the properties to match what is listed above. Change the screen resolution as required till the words are legible in Sage. According to the size of the monitor, most customers find the best results when the screen resolution is set to 1024×1280.

Solution III: Override High DPI Scaling behavior

  • Start by Right-clicking the Sage icon
  • Now select Properties
  • Next, Select the Compatibility tab
  • Click Change settings for all users button
  • Now Select Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by the box
  • Select System from the drop-down list
  • Click Apply
  • Click OK
  • Finally, verify the screen does not shrink upon opening

Note: Close Sage, right-click the desktop, choose Display, and then Advanced display settings in case the font is too small after adjusting the properties to match what is listed above. Sage 50 has a Poor Resolution in Windows 10

  • Begin by Clicking on  Start,
  • Go to Settings
  • Go to System
  • Go to Display
  • Go to the right side and click Advanced Display settings
  • Now Select ClearType text 
  • Next, Click on Turn on ClearType text checkbox.
  • Click on Next
  • Lastly, Follow the instructions to make the text readable.

How to Make Program Text Larger or Smaller in Sage 50

Solution 3: Windows 10

  • Start by Right-clicking a blank spot on your Desktop 
  • Now select Display Settings.
  • Adjust the slider to the desired resolution.
  • Next, Click Apply to view the change.
  • Finally, Reboot your computer.

Solution 4: Edit the Program Shortcut

  • Start by Right-clicking Sage Icon 
  • Now select Properties.
  • Next, Click Compatibility tab, 
  • Now click Select Override high DPI scaling behavior box in case of Windows 10, or Disable display scaling on high DPI settings box in case of Windows 7 and 8.
  • Note: For Windows 10 only – In case there is a drop-down associated with this option select System, if not just select the box.
