Method 2: Check if all the Components of the MS .NET Framework are in Order

  • Browse to the installation folder 
  • Click on the Prerequisites directory. 
  • Now run the MS .NET 64 installation if your workstation is running on a 64 bit Operating System

Method 3: Install the Workstation Setup Again

  • Go to Add or Remove programs 
  • Uninstall the workstation setup.
  • Click on Yes. All the DLL files will be removed from the registry.
  • Now log in as Admin. You may also access it remotely if you have installed the set up on the Terminal Server/Citrix
  • Finally, go to the Add or Remove Programs and install the workstation client.

Method 4: Manually Register the Following DLL Files

  • C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\3.5\bin\CRDesignerCtrl.dll
  • C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\3.5\crystalreportviewer115\ActiveXContols\CRViewer.dll.
  • C:\Windows\System32\Atl.dll
  • Check if you are still getting the error. If so, uninstall and reinstall the Crystal Reports
