  • The User should shut down their Email and then shut down Sage 50
  • Select Properties.

  • Select an Alternative Printer by Choosing Devices and Printer and then Set a Default Printer

  • The user should first sign in to “Sage Fixed Assets” and Set up an Alternative Printer.

Method 1: Run both the Sage 50 application and the Email program as an Administrator

  • Close both the Sage 50 application and the Email program, if open
  • Do a right click on the Sage 50 icon on the desktop
  • Choose Properties
  • Click on the Compatibility tab
  • Choose the tab named Change Settings for All Users
  • Now checkmark the box next to ‘Run this program as Administrator’ 
  • Click Apply
  • Click Ok
  • Repeat the above steps for the Email program as well
  • Try opening the Sage software and the Email program and check if the issue is resolved or not

Method 2: Reset the Default Printer

  • Exit from the Sage 50 application
  • Click on the Start button
  • Click on Devices and Printer
  • Locate an alternate printer
  • Do a right click on it and choose ‘Set as default printer’
  • Next, select the printer that was set previously as your default printer
  • Do a right click on it and choose ‘Set as default printer’
  • Close the Devices and Printer window
  • Now, log in to Sage Fixed Assets
  • Navigate to the File section
  • Click on the tab named Print Setup
  • Click on the alternate printer
  • Click OK to continue
  • Run the report program and check if the issue is resolved or not
