Remove User and Password Security
To Erase all company user records will no longer display the Log In window. It is here where you should enter a username and password when opening the company. It will also remove the user accountability provided by Sage 50’s audit trail feature and the Audit Trail report. This is available in Sage 50 Premium Accounting and higher.
Note: Before you remove the user and password security, you need to log on to the Sage 50 company as an administrative user. This implies that you must have access to the Users window:
- Go to the Maintain menu.
- Now, select Users
- The Sage 50 displays the User Security window.
- Next, Delete all users listed in the window:
Note: It is important that you first delete all non-administrative user records. These are the users who do not have access to the User Security window first. Next finally, delete administrative user records.
In case you have multiple users who still exist and you wish to delete the only administrative user record with access to Users, Sage 50 will prompt you with an error message. One cannot delete a single administrative user record till all other user records are removed.
After the last user record is deleted, you will not be prompted for a username and password when opening your Sage 50 company. Also, in the Sage 50 Audit Trail report, activity will no longer be associated with user names. This is for Sage 50 Premium Accounting and above.
Delete Company Users
You can use this process to remove a user from the current Sage 50 company.
- Go to the Maintain menu.

- Next, Set Up Security
- Sage 50 will display the User Security window.
- In the grid at the middle of the window, you need to select the user whose user record you want to delete.
